St. Albans Riverfest
Riverfest is an annual, multi-community event held each July at Roadside Park in St. Albans, WV. The weekend before Independence Day is filled with wholesome family entertainment and activities. Riverfest features live music concerts nightly during the four day long festival, including well known entertainers plus local talent. Country, oldies,classic rock & roll and gospel music performances bring folks from the entire Kanawha Valley together for an old fashioned community fellowship. No admission fees are charged for entrance into the Riverfest venue or the live performances. You'll find a wide variety of foods and crafts at Riverfest, as well as entertainment for children, including a playground and giant inflatables. A kiddie tractor pull is featured on Saturday and Sunday. Fiverfest features an annual parade, 5k run and walk plus an amazing fireworks display! The non-profit event is continually adding new events for the festival. Security is provided for Riverfest and no alcohol is permitted at the event. Plenty of free parking is available at various city lots, with shuttle service provided-at no charge to riders-to Roadside Park. There are hotel accomodations available close to the venue and in neighboring communities and more than an estimated quarter of a million people have enjoyed Riverfest over the past 14 years.
