Hairpin Adventure Part 2 - Crossing Sewell Mountain
Another 156 twists and turns await motor-cycle and car enthusiasts as Route 60 snaked across Sewell Mountain! That's 80 big curves on the way up - 76 on the way down - by our count. Let us know if we missed any!

To the Top of Sewell Mountain
(MM 126), 6 miles - 80 curves
To the eastern bottom of Sewell Mountain/Rainelle (MM 131), 5 miles - 76 curves.

From the top of Sewell Mountain (MM 126), Route 60 drops dramatically in elevation, more than 1,000 feet to the Meadow River Valley at Rainelle, WV.

Along the way are spectacular views, wildlife, scenic overlooks, dramatic vegetation changes and historical markers.
