Civil War Reenactment Weekend

March 23 - 25, 2012 Over 300 re-enactors commemorate the skirmish at Hurricane Bridge and the Battle of Scary Creek with everything from battle maneuvers to a Civil War Ball.


History Row Self-Guided Walking Tour

See seven murals telling the history of Hurricane, caboose Museum, and petroglyphs.


Hurricane City Park

Open daily March - December, 7 AM - midnight. Established in the early 1970s. Picnic areas, splash pools, playgrounds, areas for basketball, baseball, softball, tennis, skate park with ramps, quarter and half pipes, and walking or jogging. Fishing available in the lake.


Ohio River Floodwall Murals

Learn the early history of Point Pleasant at this interpretative exhibit of 43 murals painted on an 880-foot floodwall along the Ohio River. Sound system adds life to the depictions.

Putnam County Park

Home of the Putnam County Fair. July 7 - 14, 2012 200 acres with walking and biking trails, basketball courts, playground, gun range, one-room schoolhouse and bird-watching.

Giant Wave Pool with 3 water slides, fully equipped picnic area, 18 hole Mini-Golf, Tennis, and Amphitheater.
